What is the Lloret Convention Bureau?
Lloret Convention Bureau is the organisation responsible for promoting Lloret as a standout destination on the Costa Brava for holding events, meetings, conferences, conventions and incentive programmes.

Lloret Convention Bureau, a division of the municipal company LLORET FUTUR, S.A., LLORET TURISME, was set up in 2009 with the participation of private sector companies directly related to the business tourism sector, as a result of an agreement between Lloret de Mar Town Council and the Lloret Conferences and Events Association.

Who forms part of the Lloret Convention Bureau?
The Lloret Convention Bureau is a division of the municipal company LLORET FUTUR, S.A., which is formed by a General Board of Shareholders and a Board of Directors, presided over by Lloret de Mar Town Council and composed of members of the political parties represented in the Town Council.

The President of the Lloret Convention Bureau is the Mayor of Lloret Town Council while its Vice-President is the President of the Lloret Conferences and Events Association. The executive body is the Operating Management Board, made up of 5 council representatives and 5 representatives of the Lloret Conferences and Events Association.

What does the Lloret Convention Bureau do?
The Lloret Convention Bureau executes an annual Action Plan aimed at promoting and supporting the marketing of products related to business tourism and events.

These action plans are governed by the general guidelines of Lloret Turisme and those of other business tourism promotion bodies, such as the Girona Convention Bureau. The Lloret Convention Bureau provides event organisers and professionals from the business tourism sector with the following services

  • Exhaustive knowledge of the town and its resources.
  • Impartial and thorough advice for professionals and the corporate sector on hotels, conference centres, meeting rooms, outstanding sites, municipal facilities, social programmes and post-meeting activities.
  • Contact and liaising with associated companies and local public bodies.
  • Delegate Pack and welcome from the local authorities upon request for all conferences and events that take place in Lloret de Mar.
  • Collaboration, drawing up and presentation of candidatures.
The financing of the Lloret Convention Bureau is mixed: 50% of funding is provided by the town council while the remaining 50% comes from private sector contributions through the Lloret Conferences and Events Association.
